What does this audit check?
This tool fetches your page HTML and runs technical and on-page SEO checks. It uses the server-side proxy when available, or falls back to a browser-based audit automatically.
Why did it say “Unknown service”?
The live Apps Script backend may be on an older deployment that only supports Moz/Ahrefs. This page automatically falls back to a browser-based audit in that case. Redeploy the latest apps-script-backend.txt as a Web App for full server-side checks (response headers, more reliable link sampling, optional PageSpeed scores).
Why is Page Speed / LCP / FCP sometimes missing?
Those come from Google's PageSpeed Insights API, which requires a (free) API key on the backend — the shared anonymous quota is usually already exhausted. Every other check still works without extra setup.
Is the broken-links check exhaustive?
No — to keep the audit fast, it samples up to 8 internal links per audit rather than crawling the entire site. Treat it as a spot-check, not a full crawl.
What's not included?
Google Business Profile status isn't checkable from a website's HTML alone (it requires Google's Business Profile API and ownership verification), so it's left out rather than faked. Social share buttons and breadcrumbs are detected heuristically, not with 100% certainty.
